US 278 connects the mainland with Hilton Head Island. Soon after crossing the bridge onto the island, you will want to stay to the right to remain on US278 and by pass the entrance to the Cross Island Expressway. Soon after the 5-mile marker, US 278 will turn to the right and you see the golf course and entrance to Port Royal on the left. At this point, you should move to the left lane. The traffic light for Folly Field Road at the 6-mile mark. Turn left onto Folly Field Road. The entrance for the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort is approximately 1/3 mile on the right.
